Tir na Nog Community Childcare

Tír na nÓg Community Childcare Centre is a purpose‑built, state‑of‑the‑art facility situated in Rathrippon, Collooney, Co. Sligo. Established in 2009, the centre operates as a non‑denominational, community‑run service for children from birth to 12 years. It offers six purpose‑built playrooms designed to cater for different age groups, including a Baby Room, Wobbler Room, Toddler Room, and specialised spaces such as Little Leaders, Little Learners and Little Inventors, as well as a Breakfast Club and an After‑School programme. The centre follows a play‑based, child‑led curriculum that blends eclectic and pragmatic approaches, ensuring each child receives meaningful, developmentally appropriate play experiences. Working in line with preschool regulations, Tír na nÓg collaborates closely with parents, a management committee, the Sligo County Childcare Committee and TUSLA to maintain high standards of safety, learning and care. By providing a happy, safe and secure environment, the centre encourages the individual and unique development of every child, supporting both early years education and continued learning for older children through its varied programmes.
