Bellview Woods Childcare is an award‑winning early years education service situated on the outskirts of Killarney, in the scenic Fossa area of Ballydowney. For almost two decades the centre has delivered high‑quality, flexible and affordable childcare for children from six months up to twelve years. The facility prides itself on a strong educational ethos, using the Aistear and Síolta curricula for its ECCE programmes and offering Irish‑language immersion settings (Naíonra) in partnership with local gaelscoileanna. The centre provides a range of dedicated rooms, including a bright Baby Room for up to six infants, two Wobbler rooms for toddlers, two Playschool rooms for early preschoolers, and six ECCE rooms for full‑day care in the afternoons. Outdoor learning is encouraged through extensive play areas such as a Fairy Garden, a padded baby/wobbler yard, and equipment for football, basketball, bikes and scooters. With more than 40 qualified early years educators, Bellview Woods offers a safe, nurturing environment that supports both academic development and social play. In addition to full‑day care (7.45 am–6 pm, Monday‑Friday, 52 weeks a year) with hot meals and sleeping facilities, the centre runs a government‑funded ECCE preschool (9 am–12 pm) and an after‑school programme that assists primary pupils with homework and provides supervised play. Two Naíonra settings deliver Irish‑language early education, and families can access the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme and the National Childcare Scheme for financial support.
