Blue Stars Early Years Services

Blue Stars Early Years Services is a specialist preschool that delivers early intervention for autistic children aged three to six years. Operating from three locations in Dublin, the centre adopts a neuro‑affirmative, holistic approach that tailors each child’s learning through Individualised Educational Plans (IEP) delivered primarily through play. Small‑group and one‑to‑one sessions focus on sensory regulation, communication, and social‑skill development, with strong emphasis on partnership with parents to shape the curriculum and monitor progress. The service is funded through the Department of Education’s Home Tuition Scheme, enabling families to access state‑supported early educational intervention. In addition to the core preschool programme, Blue Stars provides complementary therapies, including speech and language support using Natural Language Acquisition techniques, occupational therapy with sensory integration programmes, and Lego‑based play therapy to enhance social interaction. All interventions are grounded in the Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural Intervention (NDBI) framework, recognised for its evidence‑based efficacy with young children on the autism spectrum.
