Bright Beginnings

Bright Beginnings is the on‑site childcare provision attached to Dromleigh National School, a co‑educational primary school that has served its community since 1840. The creche offers a safe and welcoming environment for children of primary‑school age, with a particular focus on after‑school care. It benefits from the school’s extensive facilities, including an indoor hall, a spacious playground, a grass football pitch, and a well‑maintained garden, all of which are used to support a range of active and educational activities. The school building houses three large classrooms, a resource room, a purpose room and a bright reception area, providing ample space for supervised play, homework help and creative projects. The centre’s approach to childcare emphasises a balanced curriculum that blends active learning, digital resources and outdoor exploration. Children are encouraged to engage in a variety of activities, from swimming sessions and maths trails during school‑wide events to arts and crafts projects such as Halloween art.
