Child’s Play Creche

Child’s Play Creche provides a range of early years and after‑school services across its Newbridge and Kildare sites in County Kildare. The centre welcomes children from as young as four months in its Baby Room, extending up to the early primary years. A dedicated Breakfast Club opens at 7.30 am, offering a safe and nurturing environment for children before the start of the school day. The after‑school programme collects children from their respective schools and provides a structured, play‑based setting until parents can collect them. The creche’s philosophy centres on active learning through play, hands‑on experiences and respect for each child’s voice. It emphasises equality, diversity and the rights of children, and seeks to build open, honest partnerships with parents to support children’s well‑being. Observation and documentation are used to capture emergent interests, allowing staff to create meaningful, emergent play‑based environments. The centre also participates in the National Childcare Scheme, helping families access funding to reduce childcare fees.
