Darndale/Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service Ltd.

The Darndale Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service Ltd. was established in January 2000 to provide quality early years provision for families in the Darndale, Belcamp and Moatview areas, recognised as a region of social need. The centre is one of the largest in Ireland, caring for up to 260 children aged from birth to 12 years each day. Its aim is to deliver safe, affordable and inclusive childcare that supports the physical, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of every child. The service has been recognised for its high standards, receiving a Siolta award in 2013 and participating in the “Ready for School” programme, which each year helps around 60 pre‑schoolers make a positive transition to Junior Infants. The centre follows a High/Scope curriculum that aligns with the Aistear national framework, ensuring that learning experiences are child‑centred, active and developmentally appropriate. Ongoing professional development for staff underpins the commitment to exceed national early years standards. The centre’s vision is to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning through active learning and partnership with parents and the wider community. By fostering a nurturing, fun‑loving and inquisitive environment, the service aims to empower children to build a great future and pursue their dreams.
