Deansrath Family Centre

Deansrath Family Centre provides a comprehensive continuum of child‑focused services for families in Clondalkin, ranging from pre‑birth support through to young people aged 17. The centre is recognised by Early Childhood Ireland as a Centre of Excellence for Early Years services and also holds the Incredible Years Centre of Excellence accreditation. Its core philosophy centres on promoting stability through positive parenting, early intervention and community‑led support, aiming to break intergenerational cycles of educational and social deprivation. The programme structure is divided into three age‑specific hubs: the Early Hub (pre‑birth to age 3), the Middle Huddle (ages 3‑12) and the Later Pod (ages 12‑18). Each hub delivers tailored activities for children and parents, including parenting courses, outreach work and targeted intensive supports. In addition to formal programmes, the centre runs a variety of community‑building events such as family mornings, social groups for fathers and mothers, gardening volunteer projects and regular parenting workshops, all designed to foster strong, durable connections with families. Facilities are located in both the Deansrath and Balgaddy sites, with easy access to health services and local parks. The centre emphasises a welcoming, inclusive environment where parents receive guidance and children benefit from play‑based learning, social interaction and developmental support across the full age range.
