Deansrath Family Centre Play and Development

Deansrath Family Centre provides a comprehensive continuum of child‑focused and family‑centred services for children from the prenatal stage up to age 17. The centre is recognised by Early Childhood Ireland as a Centre of Excellence for Early Years services and also holds the Incredible Years Centre of Excellence accreditation. Its programmes are organised into three age‑specific hubs – the Early Hub (pre‑birth to 3 years), the Middle Huddle (3‑12 years) and the Later Pod (12‑18 years) – each offering tailored activities, developmental support and parent‑child interaction opportunities. The centre’s philosophy centres on promoting stability through positive parenting and building strong community connections. It delivers early‑intervention support to reduce inequalities, alongside more intensive targeted services for families who need additional help. A range of community‑driven activities, such as weekly social groups for fathers and mothers, family mornings, gardening volunteer projects and a six‑week Everyday Parenting course, reinforce its commitment to holistic family wellbeing. The facility also seeks funding for a larger premises to expand its valuable work within the Clondalkin area.
