Edenmore Early Education Centre

Edenmore Early Education Centre is a state‑of‑the‑art, modern preschool that has been operating in the community since 1975. The centre provides a child‑centred environment for up to 60 children, offering an emergent and inquiry‑based curriculum that aligns with the national early childhood frameworks Aistear and Síolta. Learning is driven by children’s interests and shaped by teachers to promote holistic development, ensuring that each child feels physically and emotionally safe to engage fully with the learning environment. The centre’s philosophy recognises that every child arrives with a unique fund of knowledge and identity, and it seeks to nurture this through respectful, rights‑based practice. Funding is provided jointly by Tusla and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, supporting a range of inclusive activities such as occupational‑therapy‑informed play, sensory exploration, and Montessori‑inspired learning. Outdoor play and nature‑based experiences are also integral to the programme, fostering curiosity and a love of the natural world.
