Fermoy Montessori School

Fermion Montessori School is a long‑established early years centre situated on the south‑facing outskirts of Fermoy. Set within a home‑from‑home environment attached to the founder’s residence, the school provides a calm, familiar setting that encourages independence and responsibility. The premises are designed to offer children freedom within a carefully prepared Montessori environment, complemented by outdoor views of the town. The curriculum follows the Montessori philosophy and is aligned with the Irish Aistear framework and Siolta guidelines, ensuring a holistic approach to cognitive, physical and social development. All educators are graduates of St. Nicholas Montessori College of Ireland and maintain up‑to‑date professional development, with mandatory Garda clearance and specialised training in child protection, special needs, manual handling and food safety. The centre is I.M.E.B. accredited, audited by the Department of Education and Science and Pobal, and strives to nurture each child as an individual learner.
