Gate Childcare Ltd is an owner‑operated, purpose‑built childcare centre situated in the heart of a major business development in Munster, at Eastgate Hall, Eastgate Little Island, Co. Cork. The centre offers a homely and welcoming environment designed to support children from twelve months up to five years of age. Opening hours run Monday to Friday from 07:45 am to 06:00 pm, providing flexible full‑time care for families working within the surrounding business district. The centre’s mission is to provide a happy, relaxed and nurturing setting that encourages physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social development. Its ethos centres on a child‑led, play‑based curriculum that respects each child’s right to express themselves freely, without discrimination on the basis of race, gender or disability. Parents and carers are recognised as primary educators, and the centre actively involves them in their child’s learning journey. Gate Childcare delivers a balanced, broad and stimulating curriculum across several age‑specific programmes. These include “Wobblers” for 12‑24‑month‑olds, “Toddlers” for 24‑36‑month‑olds, and a Montessori programme for children aged three to five years. The centre also participates in the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) and offers an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme providing one year of free provision.
