Glor na Mara Playschool

Glór na Mara National School is a large mixed primary school situated on Convent Hill in Tramore, overlooking the beautiful bay. The school caters for approximately 380 pupils ranging from Junior Infants through to 6th Class. With a staff complement that includes classroom teachers, support teachers, special needs assistants and dedicated support personnel, the school provides a well‑resourced environment for early years and primary education. The historic site, dating back to the mid‑19th century, benefits from modern facilities and ample outdoor space, allowing children to engage in a variety of learning activities both indoors and in the surrounding community. The school places a strong emphasis on active, play‑based learning, particularly for its Junior Infants cohort. An active committee organises events such as the “Active Elves” Christmas run and other extracurricular activities that promote physical wellbeing and social development.
