About
Greenfields Childcare is a non‑profit, community‑based early years centre that provides a supportive, inclusive and inspiring learning environment for children from 12 months up to primary school age. The setting is divided into age‑appropriate rooms – a Crèche for babies, a Toddler room, a Junior ECCE room and a Senior ECCE room – each designed to nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence through play‑based learning and structured activities. The centre follows a play‑based curriculum for the Crèche and offers progressive early literacy, numeracy and problem‑solving experiences as children move through the junior and senior programmes, preparing them for school readiness.
In addition to full‑time early years provision, Greenfields runs a popular Afterschool Club for Junior infants to 6th class, operating from 13:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with homework support, creative projects and outdoor play. A Breakfast Club is also available for local primary school children, and the centre offers collection services from nearby schools. Funded primarily by government schemes, any surplus income is reinvested into the facilities, equipment and learning environments, ensuring high‑quality care. The centre also supports local employment through the Community Services Programme (CSP) and Tús initiatives, strengthening its ties with the wider community.
