Keen Kidz

Keen Kidz provides a warm, nurturing environment for early years and school‑age children in Waterford, operating from the secure Ballygunner GAA complex. Since 2012 the centre has combined the Montessori philosophy with the Irish Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) framework, delivering child‑led learning that encourages independence, curiosity, language development and social skills. The curriculum is emergent, built in partnership with children, parents and professionals, and is designed to be inclusive for all families. The facility offers a range of sessions, including a Breakfast Club with early drop‑off from 8 am, a Montessori/ECCE programme for preschool‑aged children, and an Afterschool service for Junior Infants to 6th class that incorporates homework support, arts and crafts, outdoor play and structured games. All care is delivered by a small, highly qualified team trained in Hanen and Lámh communication support, ensuring a low‑ratio, attentive setting where children feel safe, seen and inspired to learn at their own pace.
