Kids Kottage

Kids Kottage is situated on Main Street in Tyrrellspass, County Westmeath, and has been providing a secure, interactive childcare environment since 2010. The centre caters for children from nine months up to six years, offering dedicated pre‑school rooms, day‑care rooms and a walled back garden where children can play and learn outdoors. Meals are freshly prepared on‑site and the service can accommodate special dietary requirements when notified in advance. All staff hold at least a Level 6 FETAC qualification, with additional training in first aid and manual handling, ensuring a safe and nurturing setting for young learners. The centre follows the Aistear Síolta framework, integrating arts, crafts, music, culture and play into a structured curriculum that supports holistic development. Kids Kottage participates in the free Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme, providing a full‑time or part‑time pre‑school year for children aged two to five. A key‑worker system promotes consistency of care, and progress is recorded using Childpath software. After‑school care is also available for junior infants to third class, including school collection, a cooked meal and supervised homework support, all delivered by qualified childcare workers.
