Listowel Childcare

Listowel Childcare was founded in September 2007 and operates from a purpose‑built 4,500 sq ft facility that meets very high standards of design, equipment and play space. The centre provides a safe, welcoming environment for children from six months up to fifteen years, with dedicated rooms for each age group and a team of qualified staff. The premises include sleeping facilities for younger children, nappy‑changing areas in all ECCE rooms, and a range of indoor and outdoor play areas designed to support both free play and structured learning. The service portfolio includes full‑day care for children aged six months to five years, running from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday‑Thursday and until 5:30 pm on Fridays, 52 weeks a year, with hot meals and evening snacks provided. A government‑funded ECCE preschool programme follows the Aistear and Síolta frameworks, offering child‑led and planned activities for children aged two years eight months to five years during the morning hours. Additionally, the centre offers school‑age care for children aged four and a half to fifteen years, with drop‑off and collection from local primary schools. Funding support is available through the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme and the National Childcare Scheme (NCS).
