Little Apples Academy

Little Apples Academy is a childcare centre situated in the heart of Blackrock, Dublin, offering a nurturing environment for children from the age of two years onward. The academy’s mission is to deliver the highest standard of care, combining a loving atmosphere with a focus on the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child. Meals are thoughtfully provided, with a hot dinner each day supplied by Little Dinners and a healthy breakfast served on site, while parents are asked to contribute a snack. The centre follows the Montessori method, encouraging self‑directed activity, hands‑on learning and collaborative play. Weekly themes are shaped by the children’s interests and the programme is underpinned by the Aistear National Curriculum Framework, ensuring alignment with Irish early years education standards. Flexible attendance options include part‑time (9:00 am–1:00 pm), half‑day (8:00 am–1:00 pm), full‑day (8:00 am–6:15 pm) and after‑school care, allowing families to choose the schedule that best fits their needs. The academy observes a summer break of nine days in August and a two‑week Christmas closure, following the Carysfort National School calendar. All staff members are fully vetted and trained in first aid, manual handling, Children First, HACCP and fire safety, ensuring a safe and compliant environment. The centre also provides three after‑school rooms operating on a 12:1 child‑to‑staff ratio, supporting a balanced mix of educational and recreational activities.
