Little Rascals

Little Rascals Crèche, established in 1997, provides high‑quality childcare and early education in the Knocknacarra area of County Galway. The centre caters for children from 1 year up to 12 years, offering a range of programmes that include a traditional crèche and day‑care service, a Montessori classroom, an after‑school club and an annual summer camp. Small class sizes enable staff to give each child personalised attention, while a strong emphasis is placed on holistic development through imagination, creativity, play and physical activity. The curriculum follows the nationally recognised Aistear and Siolta frameworks, with daily, weekly and yearly planning that is regularly inspected by the Department of Education. Irish language use is woven throughout the day, and a weekly fitness programme promotes a healthy lifestyle. Individual workbooks, development checklists and regular parent‑child meetings ensure that each child’s progress is monitored and that families remain actively involved in their child’s learning journey. Little Rascals is a member of Early Childhood Ireland and is registered with TUSLA and the Environmental Health Office.
