Little Stars

Little Stars is a purpose‑built childcare centre in Monvoy Valley, Tramore, County Waterford, operating since August 2008. The spacious, bright facility is fully wheelchair‑accessible and provides a secure environment for children from six months up to the preschool age group. Opening hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year, closing only for the Christmas period. The centre places a strong emphasis on qualified staff, with all members holding at least a FETAC Level 5 qualification and many pursuing Level 6 in Childcare, ensuring a high standard of early childhood education and care. The centre offers a range of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a secure, south‑west‑facing play area with protective flooring, a green space for a seasonal bouncing castle, and a garden where children plant shrubs from seed. Inside, there are dedicated baby and after‑school rooms, a games room equipped for board games, arts and crafts, and air hockey, and a monitored perimeter with security cameras. Weekly activities such as musical instrument sessions, cooking, and birthday celebrations encourage creativity and social interaction. An after‑school club provides free transport in a seven‑seater vehicle, homework support, and a snack programme that involves children in preparation and clean‑up, fostering independence and responsibility.
