Naíonra na Giúise

Gaelscoil na Giúise is a multi‑denominational Irish‑medium primary school founded in 2013. It provides full‑time education for Junior and Senior Infants through 6th class, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe and happy environment where children receive a high standard of education. The school follows a full early‑immersion policy: Irish is the daily language of instruction for all subjects except English, which is introduced only in 1st class. This approach ensures children develop literacy in Irish first, with reading skills easily transferring to English later. The school also offers specialised support through two Special Education classes opened in 2022 and 2023, and participates in Cumann na mBunscol. A wide range of extracurricular activities are available, including art, STEM, ICT, sport, and after‑school clubs such as Clubanna Iarscoile and Brat Glas (breakfast club). Resources for Irish at home are promoted, and the school operates under the patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta, the largest patron of Irish‑medium schools in Ireland.
