Naionra Thaobh na Coille

Naíonra Thaobh na Coille provides a high‑quality pre‑school service for children in the local area, delivering Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) through the medium of Irish. The centre places a strong emphasis on play‑based learning and follows the national Aistear/Soilte curriculum, which is designed to support the holistic development of each child. Their approach is framed around the P‑I‑L‑E‑S model – Physical, Intellectual, Language, Emotional and Social development – and is delivered in partnership with parents and guardians. The facility currently offers free ECCE places for the years 2026, 2027 and 2028, inviting families to enrol for a two‑year programme. Children experience three months of intensive Irish language immersion, after which the curriculum continues to build on language skills alongside broader developmental goals.
