Newbury House Family Centre CLG

Newbury House Family Centre, established in 1986, is a community‑based organisation situated in the heart of Mayfield, Cork. It was created in response to the rapid growth of new homes and young families in the area and now incorporates a Creche and Preschool, Family Support Services and the Mayfield Arts Centre. The centre aims to improve and maintain the quality of life for local residents by providing vital social, economic and educational supports. The childcare provision welcomes children aged 1 to 6 years, offering both creche and preschool environments that focus on early childhood care and education. The centre adopts a nurturing, play‑based approach, encouraging social interaction and developmental milestones in a safe, welcoming setting. In addition to childcare, Newbury House delivers a full range of family support services, including counselling and therapy, to assist families with a variety of needs. Through the Mayfield Arts Centre, the organisation runs in‑house and outreach art programmes for all ages and abilities, fostering creativity and community engagement. It also organises community events, workshops, training sessions and offers employment and volunteer opportunities, reinforcing its role as a hub for local collaboration and support.
