Once upon a time

Once Upon A Time delivers high‑quality childcare across a network of centres in Carrickmines, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin 2, Dundrum, Ballymount, Tallaght, Shankill, Cherrywood, Hollywood‑Rath, Hansfield and Citywest. The service operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm, closing only for the festive season, bank and public holidays. Each centre is purpose‑built for children, offering bright, colour‑rich interiors, secure outdoor play areas with soft flooring and a range of engaging toys and equipment. Meals are provided by the partner company Little Dinners and include breakfast, snacks, teas and hot meals, while essential supplies such as baby wipes, cotton wool and nappy bags are also supplied. The organisation places a strong emphasis on the holistic development of each child, supporting physical, emotional and cognitive growth in a caring, safe environment. Staff are experienced, qualified and receive regular training in first aid, HACCP, manual handling, health and safety, fire safety and child protection. Once Upon A Time is fully registered with the HSE and TUSLA, participates in the ECCE government scheme for a free pre‑school year, and benefits from NCS funding. An open‑door policy and a parent portal allow families to view daily reports and stay actively involved in their child’s routine and learning themes.
