Once Upon a Time delivers high‑quality childcare across a network of centres in Carrickmines, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin 2, Dundrum, Ballymount, Tallaght, Shankill, Cherrywood, Hollywood‑Rath, Hansfield and Citywest. The centres operate from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, and close for the festive season, bank holidays and public holidays. Families benefit from a comprehensive package that includes breakfast, snacks, teas and hot meals supplied by Little Dinners, as well as essential supplies such as baby wipes, cotton wool and nappy bags. The environment is purpose‑built for children, featuring bright, colourful interiors, a wide range of engaging toys and safe, secure outdoor areas with soft flooring and age‑appropriate equipment. Staff are experienced, qualified and receive ongoing training in first aid, HACCP, manual handling, health and safety, fire safety and child protection, ensuring a safe and nurturing setting. The centre is fully registered with the HSE and TUSLA, participates in the ECCE government scheme for a free pre‑school year, and accesses NCS funding. An open‑door policy encourages parental involvement, with daily reports accessible via a parent portal. The programme focuses on each child’s individuality, promoting physical, emotional and cognitive development, and fostering a positive attitude towards school, teamwork and respect for others.
