Our Ladys Nursery Ballymun Ltd

Our Lady’s Nursery Ballymun Ltd, trading as Our Nursery, has been a cornerstone of early childhood provision in Ballymun since 1974. Operating from a purpose‑built facility at 121 Sillogue Gardens, the centre welcomes children from six months up to seven years. It is a state‑subsidised, charitable early childhood education centre that participates in the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) and the Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) scheme, offering flexible full‑time, part‑time and sessional care to meet the needs of local families. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, and also provides an after‑school service. The centre follows the HighScope curriculum, adopting a holistic approach that supports all areas of a child’s development within a safe, loving “home from home” environment. Emphasis is placed on nurturing confidence, independence and self‑esteem, allowing each child to progress at their own pace. Partnerships with YoungBallymun enable Family Focused Play Therapy and targeted observations, while a Circle of Security Parenting programme is available to support parents. The facility’s commitment to early intervention and prevention aims to improve long‑term outcomes for children and families in the community.
