Scoil Croi Iosa Presentation Early Year Services

Scoil Chroí Íosa, known locally as “the Pres”, provides a vibrant early years environment in the heart of Galway City. The school follows the Presentation tradition, emphasising Christian values, equality and respect while offering a safe, supportive setting for children from junior infants through to 6th class. A strong focus on active learning sees pupils engaged in a range of physical pursuits, including the Active School Flag programme, inter‑school sports competitions and a European School Sports Day featuring local sport personalities. The curriculum is enriched by a robust music programme (Colourstrings, guitar, violin, drums and keyboard), regular forest‑school outings, and a thriving school garden where children grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. Beyond the standard school day, Scoil Chroí Íosa runs an after‑school care service for junior infants to 6th class, providing homework support and a variety of enrichment activities. The school also benefits from the Incredible Years behaviour‑management programme, promoting positive behaviour, good manners and kindness.
