Small Steps

Small Steps is a community‑based childcare centre located in Phibblestown Community Centre, Dublin 15. Since 2013 the centre has focused on providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children of primary‑school age. Their approach combines clear policies, holistic child development and strong parental partnership, ensuring that each child feels comfortable while parents have confidence in the quality of care. The centre offers a range of programmes that cater to the varied schedules of families, including a warm Breakfast Club where children can settle before school, an Hour Club that bridges multiple school collection times with light snacks and supervised activities, and an Afterschool service that supports homework, socialisation and age‑appropriate play. In addition, Small Steps delivers Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) aligned with national standards, promoting curiosity, creativity and social skills through arts, storytelling and other engaging activities.
