Kilcolman Community Creche is a not‑for‑profit, purpose‑built childcare centre that opened its doors in August 2007. Situated in the picturesque village of Kilcolman, between Ardagh and Shanagolden in West Limerick, the facility lies within easy walking distance of the local national school, making it a convenient option for families in the community. The centre offers a comprehensive range of childcare options, from full‑day and part‑time care for infants as young as three months, to sessional provision that includes the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme for preschool‑aged children. A dedicated school‑age service also provides before‑school and after‑school care, including a breakfast club and collection service for children attending Kilcolman Primary School. The centre is organised into several specialised rooms: a self‑contained Baby Room for the youngest infants; the Acorn Room for toddlers (18 months–3 years); the Butterfly Room for early preschoolers (3–4 years) delivering the first year of ECCE; and a Montessori Room for 4‑ to 5‑year‑olds, offering the second year of ECCE.
