Sunny Days Montessori School

Sunny Days Montessori School, situated in Frankfield, Douglas, Cork, provides a high‑standard pre‑school service for up to 45 children. The centre follows a Montessori curriculum enriched with HighScope principles and a strong emphasis on play‑based learning. Children are welcomed into a warm, home‑from‑home environment where they are treated with respect and encouraged to develop socially, emotionally, mentally and physically. The school operates on a sessional basis aligned with the normal school calendar, offering three distinct class sessions – Ducklings (8:45 am‑11:45 am), Ladybirds (8:45 am‑12:15 pm) and Caterpillars (12:30 pm‑3:30 pm) – as well as optional summer camps in July and August. The facility is fully registered and inspected by Tusla, the HSE, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and the Department of Education and Skills. It also holds affiliations with St Nicholas Montessori Ireland, the Association of Childcare Professionals and Barnardos, and maintains comprehensive insurance cover. All staff possess at least a Level 6 childcare qualification, with many holding higher degrees and specialised training, and are fully vetted and trained in first aid.
