The Childrens Lodge Montessori School

The Children’s Lodge has operated as a Montessori school since 1988, having been converted from an original lodge into a purpose‑built early years centre. The premises comprise two large, open‑plan classrooms, a hallway and a child‑sized kitchen, all designed to be bright, cheerful and adaptable to the developmental needs of young children. An indoor‑outdoor flow is provided, with direct access to a secure outdoor play area surrounded by a high stone wall, ensuring a safe environment for exploration and play. The school follows a Montessori philosophy, offering inclusive morning and afternoon preschool sessions under programmes labelled AIM, NCS and ECCE. In addition to core childcare, the centre provides extra hours for families and organises seasonal events such as Halloween, Easter, Summer activities and a Santa celebration, as well as regular open days for prospective parents.
