Tiddlywinks Too

Tiddlywinks Creche & Preschool first opened its doors in May 2009 with just six children enrolled. Since then the centre has expanded rapidly, now operating six dedicated rooms that cater for children from twelve months old up to the end of the preschool year. The original site at 1 Rath Ullord, Kilkenny provides a Wobbler Room for infants, a Toddler Room for early walkers, and both Junior and Senior Preschool rooms for children progressing towards school age. In September 2023 the organisation launched a second premises, Tiddlywinks Too, at 1 Fr Walsh Close, Kilkenny. This location serves children from two years and eight months up to after‑school age, collecting pupils walking from the nearby St John of God Girls National School and St Patricks De La Salle Boys National School. The after‑school provision accommodates children up to third class, offering a convenient extension to the regular school day. The centre’s approach centres on age‑appropriate care and learning, with clearly defined rooms that match developmental stages. By providing both full‑day creche and after‑school services across two sites, Tiddlywinks supports families throughout Kilkenny with flexible, high‑quality early childhood provision.
