Urlingford Pre- School for Little Learners

Urlingford Pre‑School for Little Learners provides a range of early years and after‑school services for children aged 2½ years up to 13 years. The preschool operates under the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme, offering two free years of entitlement and running Monday to Friday, 9 am‑12 pm. The programme follows the Aistear and HighScope curricula, emphasising play‑based learning, imagination, and the development of pre‑reading and pre‑maths skills. A part‑time extension is available from 8.30 am‑1.30 pm, allowing children to benefit from additional indoor and outdoor activities that support holistic development. The after‑school care service caters for children aged 4‑13 years, operating from 1.30 pm‑5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. It includes a homework club, hot dinners, and a varied programme of recreational and educational activities. Seasonal offerings such as a five‑week summer camp (9 am‑1.30 pm) provide age‑appropriate arts, sports, and outdoor play. The centre highlights a safe, supportive environment with abundant resources and a well‑maintained outdoor area, aiming to nurture confidence, social skills, and wellbeing in all children.
