Holy Trinity National School is a small, creative co‑educational primary school situated in the heart of Westport, County Mayo. The school operates across three distinct classrooms – Junior (Junior Infants to 2nd Class), Middle (3rd and 4th Class) and Senior (5th and 6th Class) – fostering a close‑knit environment where pupils and staff know each other well and strong friendships develop. Under the patronage of the Church of Ireland, the school welcomes children of all faiths and nationalities, promoting an inclusive community that values diversity and mutual respect. The curriculum is holistic, aiming to enrich mind, heart and spirit. Specialist teachers deliver weekly drama, Irish‑dance, drumming and ukulele sessions, while a dedicated Special Education/EAL teacher and two Special Needs Assistants support pupils with additional needs. A range of whole‑school activities – from the annual Christmas concert and gardening club to forest school, Gaelic training, spike‑ball, cross‑country running and swimming – encourage physical wellbeing, cultural appreciation and creative expression. The school’s ethos emphasises Christian values of love, honesty and civic responsibility, while also nurturing resilience, independence and a love of Irish language and traditions.
