About
Adamstown Community College is a co‑educational post‑primary institution established in 2009 under the patronage of the Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board. The college serves roughly 1,000 students across a broad curriculum of 24 subjects and offers a strong progression record, with 83 % of leavers moving on to further education. Its educational philosophy centres on five core values – Excellence in Education, Care, Equality, Community and Respect – and aims to provide a supportive, holistic learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes high expectations for all learners. The campus is equipped with a wide range of specialised facilities, including six practical subject rooms, five science laboratories, a sports hall and gym, two music practice rooms, a sensory room, two art studios, five computer suites, two home‑economics rooms, a library, an all‑weather pitch and a greenhouse. A dedicated school dog, Quattro, contributes to the inclusive atmosphere. Extracurricular provision is extensive, with over 20 clubs and activities, a recognised anti‑bullying programme, and a commitment to environmental stewardship demonstrated by awards such as Ireland’s Cycling School of the Year and multiple Green Flag achievements.
