Ballyheada National School is a co‑educational Catholic primary school situated in the heart of Ballinhassig, County Cork. Under the patronage of the Bishop of Cork and Ross, the school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for children from Junior Infants through to Sixth Class. Its ethos is rooted in Christian values while embracing pupils of all faiths and none, promoting respect, compassion and a love of learning. The school delivers a broad, balanced curriculum that supports the intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical development of each child. In addition to mainstream classes, Ballyheada offers a dedicated special class that provides tailored support for children with autism, ensuring that diverse learning needs are met. A strong sense of community is fostered through active collaboration between staff, special needs assistants, the Board of Management, parents and the vibrant Parents’ Association, which organises events and initiatives that enrich school life.
