About

Cadamstown National School is a mixed, rural primary school situated in Moyvalley, North Kildare, serving a community of approximately 84 pupils. As a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin, it promotes a faith‑based ethos that encourages a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God. The school operates with four classroom teachers and a shared Learning Support Teacher, fostering a collaborative environment where parents and the wider community are actively involved through a vibrant Parents Association. The school benefits from extensive sporting and recreational facilities, including a GAA pitch, a soccer pitch, a basketball/tennis court, two outdoor handball alleys that double as hurling walls, and access to the newly‑built Cadamstown Hall for indoor P.E. activities. Cadamstown Field supports games and athletics, while pupils also attend swimming lessons at Edenderry Swimming Pool. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive smart board and a mobile trolley containing 25 computers/laptops, supporting a modern, technology‑enhanced curriculum. The school participates in Gaelic football, camogie, cross‑country running and Olympic handball competitions, offering a well‑rounded educational experience.
