About
Castlegregory Mixed National School is a mixed‑gender primary school situated in the village of Castlegregory, County Kerry. The school provides education for children from junior infants through to sixth class, offering a balanced curriculum that integrates academic learning with cultural, moral, religious, social and spiritual development. Modern facilities support a vibrant learning environment, including well‑equipped classrooms, dedicated spaces for special educational needs and resources for digital initiatives such as coding with BeeBots. The teaching team comprises six mainstream classroom teachers, two special education teachers and several special needs assistants, ensuring that every pupil receives personalised support to reach their full potential. The school places a strong emphasis on community involvement and wellbeing, organising events such as bake sales, Daffodil Day fund‑raisers and a Wellbeing Wall, while also promoting environmental stewardship through recycling and green‑school programmes. A structured timetable provides a consistent routine, with morning sessions, a midday lunch break and staggered finish times for infants and older pupils.
