About
Christ The King Boys National School (Scoil Chríost Rí) is an all‑boys primary school located in the heart of Caherdavin, Limerick. The school educates over 300 pupils and is supported by a dedicated team of 36 staff members, including a principal, mainstream class teachers, learning‑support teachers and special‑needs assistants. Its ethos promotes a holistic education that nurtures each child’s talents, gifts and aspirations, creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere where academic learning is balanced with personal development. The curriculum is complemented by a wide range of extra‑curricular activities designed to cater for diverse interests. Pupils can take part in choir, soccer, tag rugby, draughts and numerous other clubs, encouraging both physical fitness and creative expression. A strong emphasis is placed on mental‑health wellbeing; the boys engage in weekly mindfulness sessions and the school has been awarded the Pieta House Amber Flag for Mental Health Awareness for the past five years. These provisions aim to ensure that every child enjoys a happy, supportive and well‑rounded primary education.
