History
Clonpriest National School originated as a mixed national school in 1902, with separate sections for boys and girls. Over the years the school has undergone major building projects in 1989, 2007 and most recently in the summer of 2018, modernising its facilities while retaining its historic roots in the heart of Gortroe.
