History

Coláiste Cois Life was founded in 1997 to meet the demand for Irish‑medium post‑primary education in the Lucan area. The school initially operated on the grounds of Coláiste Chilliain in Clondalkin. In 1999 it relocated to a temporary building in Lucan, with additional classrooms added each year until 2005. A permanent campus was opened in September 2006. The inaugural cohort comprised 21 students, who sat the Leaving Certificate in June 2003. Since then, the majority of past pupils have progressed to third‑level institutions, and the student body primarily draws from Lucan, Palmerstown and North Kildare.
