Coolcappa National School is a small, mixed primary school situated in the rural community of Coolcappa, Ardagh, County Limerick. It provides education for children from Junior Infants through to 6th Class, currently accommodating 56 pupils. The school operates with a dedicated team of six teachers, a full‑time Special Needs Assistant, and part‑time administrative and caretaking staff, ensuring a supportive and well‑resourced learning environment. The school’s ethos, encapsulated in its motto “Coiscéim Dearfach ar an mBóthar atá Romhainn”, emphasises positive steps forward on the journey of education. Pupils are encouraged to engage in a broad range of cross‑curricular activities, fostering both academic development and personal growth. The staff are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, calm and happy atmosphere where every child feels valued and respected, and to providing the best possible opportunities for each learner to reach their full potential.
