Delgany National School is an inclusive, Church of Ireland‑managed primary school that aims to nurture each child’s academic, social, physical and spiritual development. The school’s ethos promotes honesty, charity, kindness, patience and personal responsibility, while respecting the traditions of other faiths and encouraging a tolerant, respectful community. Learning takes place in a supportive environment where pupils are valued irrespective of gender, ethnicity, family circumstances or ability, and where the curriculum is delivered with an emphasis on responsibility to self, friends and the wider world. The school offers a broad range of opportunities, from core classroom teaching to extracurricular activities such as sponsored walks and community clean‑up projects, fostering both personal growth and community spirit. Religious Education follows the Department of Education guidelines and incorporates the ‘Follow Me’ programme, with provision for parents to withdraw their child if desired.
