About
Duleek Girls National School (Scoil Bheinín Naofa Cailíní) is an all‑girls Catholic primary school serving the Duleek community with an enrolment of approximately 350 pupils. The school’s mission is to nurture the intellectual, physical, cultural, moral, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of every child, providing a broad, balanced education within a caring and supportive environment. A focus on recognising individual talents enables pupils to achieve their full potential while fostering positive attitudes towards learning. The school benefits from modern, state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including well‑equipped classrooms, a dedicated sports pitch and specialised spaces for music, drama and visual arts. The curriculum covers twelve core subjects – English, Irish, Maths, History, Geography, Science, Music, Visual Arts, Drama, Physical Education, SPHE and Religious Education – and is enhanced by digital learning platforms such as Seesaw (Junior Infants to Second Class) and Google Classroom (Third Class to Sixth Class). A rich programme of extracurricular activities, ranging from Gaelic football and basketball to yoga, quizzes and student council, complements the academic offering and promotes holistic development. Health and wellbeing are prioritised through a healthy eating policy with free hot lunches, strict nut‑free guidelines and regular parent‑teacher meetings. The school’s code of behaviour, robust child‑safeguarding procedures and active Parent’s Council further ensure a safe, inclusive and vibrant school community.
