About

Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín is an Irish‑medium primary school that opened its doors in 2006. It provides a fully immersive language environment where pupils develop fluency in Irish while following the national curriculum. The school places a strong emphasis on an open, collaborative atmosphere, encouraging families to engage actively with the school community. Its vision is for every child to enjoy a positive, worthwhile experience and to achieve their full potential in a supportive setting. The school offers a range of facilities and services to meet the needs of its learners, including a dedicated special‑needs class with separate enrolment periods, online payment and enrolment systems, and a school calendar that highlights cultural and sporting events. A weather‑station link on the site demonstrates a commitment to integrating real‑world learning opportunities. The community‑driven ethos is reinforced by regular newsletters, open‑day events and a welcoming approach to parental queries, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive educational environment.

History

Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín opened in 2006 following the hard work of a dedicated founding committee and a parents’ committee. Since its inception the school has grown steadily, benefitting from the commitment, diligence, goodwill and positive attitude of the whole school community, which has helped it develop into a strong, thriving centre of Irish‑medium education.
