Gairmscoil Chú Uladh is a co‑educational Irish‑medium primary school situated in the Gaeltacht of Donegal and operated under the Board of Education and Training (Bord Oideachais agus Oiliúna) of Dún na nGall. The school’s core aim is to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment where equality and collaboration form the foundation for every pupil’s development. Emphasis is placed on the holistic growth of children – personal, social, academic and emotional – ensuring that each student is equipped to reach their full potential. As a Gaeltacht school, Irish is the language of instruction and the school is committed to preserving and promoting the language and culture of the region. Dedicated support is offered to pupils who are not yet fluent, including additional language classes, assistance from a language tutor (cúntóir teanga) and extra‑curricular reinforcement. Since 2018 Gairmscoil Chú Uladh has been part of the Gaeltacht School Identity Scheme, reinforcing its role as a centre for Irish language education.
