About
Galbally National School is a mixed primary school serving approximately 130 children in the Galbally area of County Limerick, on the border with County Tipperary. The school is fully inclusive, welcoming pupils of all abilities and providing a broad range of extra‑curricular activities. A team of five mainstream teachers is supported by a dedicated learning‑support and resource teacher, and an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) class was introduced in September 2020 to further enhance provision for diverse learning needs. The campus benefits from its proximity to one of the region’s largest sports grounds, offering 16 acres of playing fields for regular use. Ongoing development plans include a modern playground and sensory gardens adjacent to the Infants classroom, reinforcing the school’s commitment to a stimulating, child‑centred environment. Facilities are modern and well‑equipped, supporting a curriculum that balances academic rigour with creative and physical development, and fostering a welcoming community for families in the surrounding rural area.
