About
Glenageary Killiney National School is a co‑educational primary school under the patronage of the Church of Ireland, with the Archbishop of Dublin and Bishop of Glendalough acting as its patron. The school’s ethos reflects the values of honesty, charity, kindness, patience and personal responsibility, while also fostering respect for the traditions and teachings of other faiths. It aims to nurture the moral, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical and social development of every pupil, providing a safe and happy environment where children and adults work together to achieve their best each day. The curriculum is child‑centred and designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning and encourage lifelong learning. Emphasis is placed on mutual respect among pupils, staff and parents, high expectations and positive behaviour, encapsulated in the school’s motto of “Kind Hands, Kind Feet, Kind Words”. Facilities supporting this holistic approach include a dedicated school library, an active schools programme, a school garden and participation in Green Schools initiatives, as well as a Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) programme.
