About
Goatstown Stillorgan Educate Together National School is a recently established primary school serving the Goatstown and Dun Laoghaire‑Rathdown community. The school opened its doors in September 2019 with a Junior Infants class and has been expanding each year, aiming to provide a full primary programme up to 6th Class. It follows the Educate Together ethos, promoting an inclusive, child‑centred environment where diversity, equality and respect are core values. Learning is delivered through a thematic, play‑based approach that integrates the twelve curriculum subjects, with the three core subjects taught daily across all year groups. The school places a strong emphasis on creativity, collaboration and outdoor activity. Classrooms are organised to support hands‑on investigation, scientific observation and artistic expression, while dedicated spaces for after‑school clubs encourage further exploration of interests such as chess, mathematics and crafts. A vibrant notice board and regular whole‑school events, including workshops and community projects, foster a sense of belonging and active participation among pupils. Facilities are currently housed in a temporary site in Churchtown, providing age‑appropriate classrooms, a shorter day for infant classes, and ample outdoor areas for play and learning. The school’s commitment to making learning fun is reflected in its focus on relationships, problem‑solving and the development of confident, creative builders of their own futures.
