About

Harold’s Cross Educate Together Secondary School is a voluntary secondary school operating under the sole patronage of Educate Together. It provides an inclusive, equality‑based learning environment where every student’s voice is valued and academic achievement is encouraged. The school follows a learner‑centred, democratic ethos, promoting kindness, resilience, creativity and self‑directed learning while integrating innovation and technology throughout the curriculum. Teaching is research‑informed and student‑centred, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, communication, teamwork, research and leadership skills. The school is housed in a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art temporary accommodation on the former Greyhound Racing Stadium site in Harold’s Cross, which will also become the permanent campus for a purpose‑built facility designed to accommodate up to 1,000 students. The campus is shared with Harold’s Cross Educate Together National School, fostering a seamless transition between primary and secondary education. Facilities include modern digital learning spaces, a dedicated laptop programme, well‑equipped science and technology labs, and extensive co‑curricular opportunities in sport, culture and the arts, all aimed at preparing learners for the challenges of the 21st century.

History

Harold’s Cross Educate Together Secondary School opened its doors in August 2020, occupying the site of the former Greyhound Racing Stadium in Harold’s Cross. The school initially operates from a brand‑new temporary accommodation on this site, which is also earmarked as the location for a permanent, purpose‑built campus that will eventually serve up to 1,000 pupils. The school shares the campus with Harold’s Cross Educate Together National School and plans to move into the new main building once construction is complete.
