About
Holy Cross National School is a mixed Catholic primary school situated in Tramore, Co. Waterford, catering for approximately 600 pupils across 25 mainstream classes. The school’s ethos centres on a caring, inclusive and welcoming environment where respect, Christian values and the individual needs of each child are paramount. A dedicated team of over 40 staff members provides a broad range of learning experiences, supporting both pupils with specific learning difficulties and high‑achieving students to reach their full potential. The campus combines modern facilities with ample outdoor space. The building, opened in 2011, is fully wheelchair‑accessible and features a lift to the first floor, interactive whiteboards in every classroom, and a suite of digital resources including laptops, iPads and desktop computers. Six resource rooms, a sensory room, a large school hall and specialised sports equipment rooms support a varied curriculum. Outside, two large yards offer an astroturf/all‑weather surface, basketball and tennis courts, a sizeable front field, and access to the local Tramore GAA club. Additional amenities include a vegetable garden, raised beds, and a secure bicycle and scooter parking area.
